On May 22, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., Laurent Viens will present a dozen works from the ‘Des aiguilles et des hommes’ on the occasion of the official launch of the Théo gallery’s activities.
Laurent Viens has never favoured a conventional approach: neither specific training in plastic arts nor flamboyant exhibitions. Only a slow progression on his own path. The time that overtakes him forced him to reflect… on time. New oils on high density Masonite were born from this period of questioning. Juste à temps; le temps n’existe pas; tuer le temps; le temps qu’il reste…The student of Frère Jérôme, who learned there the freedom of the gesture linked to the emotion, commits himself once again in this new series.
The opening of the works of Laurent Viens will take place at the heart of a festive happening that brings together four other creators from Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu:
-Launch of theo gallery activities, virtual and event art gallery by Anne Potvin and Paul Thouin;
-Presentation of the Bold and Tailor handkerchief collection, proudly presented by its founder Jonathan Ostiguy;
-Tasting of White Keys vodka, winner of the Masters Prize at Vodka Masters in London in 2018, in the presence of its passionate founder Sylvain Lague.
May 2 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at 606 Champlain Street Suite 201 (Place Barnabé) Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu. Free parking at the back. Access through the main entrance.
